A Reddit user has claimed he found out his wife - whom he was in the process of separating from - was sleeping with someone else when he got an email from Netflix about a change in his account details.

The bloke shared a screengrab of a message from the streaming service addressed to 'Guy f***ing your ex wife'.

Posting a picture of the email, the Reddit user wrote: "Not sure who is trashier? My ex wife or this douche. Not even divorced."

Ouch.

In response, one person commented with a suggestion: "Well, did you contact them to let them know that you didn't ask for the email address to be changed? That's the first thing my petty ass would have done."

Others said they would have given evidence of 'fraudulent activity' with someone saying: "From the message alone you've got solid evidence of fraudulent activity. Will they be able to restart it? Sure. Will you be able to cause them some mild annoyance in the meantime by locking the account down and cancelling [sic] the payment method? Also yes.

"It's your call, but after that nonsense I'd indulge in a little petty revenge."

Another Redditer wrote: "At least you won't ever have to be around someone that toxic anymore."

Another added: "Take solice [sic] in that she will eventually f*** him over too. She will do the same s*** to him, I guarantee it."

Another person said: "Wow that is beyond trashy! Looks like your soon to be ex wife found her perfect match! Be happy for her... soon you'll be free to put yourself first, live your best life and hopefully meet someone who can take that journey with you as your partner.

"Divorce is hard, don't let it destroy you, it was a part of your life that helped shape you who you are today, take the good, learn from the bad and know that you deserve happiness!!"

The original poster explained how he thinks it's his ex-wife that changed the details. He wrote: "We talked about creating separate acts [accounts]. Credit cards etc. just kind of a slap in the face."

He then added: "I think it was my wife during Netflix and chill. Smh [so much hate]."
