Man Makes Hilarious Promo Video To Sell His London Flat With A Pool

It's got a pool, did he mention that?

A homeowner who is desperately trying to offload his London flat has filmed a promotional video bragging about the outside swimming pool, filmed while he stands in the aforementioned pool.

Sanderson Jones, 40, was all set to sell his two bedroom flat a few weeks back when the buyers pulled out at the last moment.

In order to give the sale a quick shove, he decided to record a video advertising the attractive £425,000 property.

The biggest selling point, as he repeatedly mentions in the two-minute-long video, is that it comes with an outdoor pool.

Sure, it has high ceilings - as he mentioned - and there's something about an ancient curse, but remember, it's got a pool.

It's pretty chilly right now, but in summer...

Exactly how much use that is in January is anybody's guess, but he's definitely honed in on the unique selling point and absolutely rammed it home.

It certainly looks cold.

Sanderson addressed prospective buyers while standing waist deep in the pool, explaining how this key feature is the only thing that should matter to a buyer.

In other shots he's perched a beach hut - which may actually be a shed - outlining how a London flat with a pool is 'missing from your life'.

He mentions the word pool every eight seconds on average, so you can see where he's trying to go with this.

See?

It's worked though, because he's already had an enquiry, just 24 hours after sharing the vid.

He explained: "We had the idea of banging on about the pool and how it's going to turn you into a better person. And to be honest, it has been great.

"Particularly during lockdown it felt like we were on holiday. I think there will be other folk like us who go 'yeah, it would be pretty cool to have that'.

"The reason we bought this place is because it had a pool. It was the first place we saw. Why wouldn't you have a flat with a pool?"

Why indeed?

"There's nowhere in London that's got a community vibe like this, and because you've got to look after the pool you get to know the neighbours.

"I could certainly feel for Leonardo DiCaprio filming Titanic because it was absolutely freezing. It's a heated pool but it wasn't being heated when we filmed it."

The dad-of-one continued: "It's quite frustrating when you're trying to sell a house and you just have to wait for people to come to you.

"A friend told me how unique it was that the property has a pool, so I thought we should do something to highlight that, then I contacted [cameraman, video editor and script co-writer] Sam [Nicoresti].

It does look like a nice flat, too.

"We wanted to do something that was a bit silly and a bit fun. We wrote the script, so I used that and ad-libbed a bit too, then Sam did a brilliant job at editing it together.

"Hopefully it works. I've already noticed it's been shared and posted in various forums and we've had one enquiry already so we'll see how it goes."

So, if you've got the readies, and you're looking for some cold water swimming this winter, you know where to go.

It's listed on Purple Bricks right here.
