Meet The YouTuber Who Claimed To Naruto Run Past Cameras At Area 51

Meet The YouTuber Who Claimed To Naruto Run Past Cameras At Area 51

Apparently, the mission hasn't been a complete failure...

A man claiming to be the intrepid alien hunter captured 'Naruto running' on TV outside Area 51 in Nevada earlier today says that not only has he been practising hard for his big moment, but he claims some of the people gathered to 'Storm Area 51' actually managed to make it in (very briefly).

Despite his undoubted speed, we managed to track down a man claiming to be the culprit, a YouTuber who goes by the name of Elixir.

Now, obviously, around two million people signed up to the event on Facebook, but everyone has their own reasons for seeking out the truth down at Area 51.

Elixir claims to be the infamous Area 51 Naruto runner.

Elixir told LADbible: "Pretty much, I heard that there would be aliens at Area 51 and I have a pet fish called Mr Fishy, who lives in a fish tank.

"He gets quite lonely at times so I thought it would be really cool if I could go to Area 51 and bring him back an alien.

"That was my whole idea, my whole plan of going to Area 51 - to get an alien."

To be honest, that makes a lot more sense than just about everything else in this whole story.

Anyway, if you actually want to invade Area 51 and 'see them aliens' you've got to train hard. Elixir told us that he was honing his skills in the desert for a month beforehand, before opportunity knocked.

Elixir claims to have trained for his big moment for a month.

He continued: "I was there about a month ago practising my Naruto run because in order to dodge the bullets you have to Naruto run.

"I was practising my Naruto run and I went past the news and now, I guess, it's on top of the internet."

Yep, that's about right.

So, how does it feel to be the face of the 'Storm Area 51' hype? Naruto running was a meme before, but this is surely something different.

Elixir added: "Yeah, I guess it's pretty good. My face isn't in it or anything so I'm a meme but nobody."

I suppose the real question is, has anyone actually seen any aliens yet?

"Well, kinda. It's a bit of a long story. I've documented it all and I'm working on putting it together now for my channel."

It's a strange indictment of the times that we live in that this whole thing has become worldwide news, but here we stand anyway.

As expected, however, the crowds weren't quite at the two million mark, despite the popularity of the Facebook event.

Elixir explained: "At around 2:59am there were maybe 50 people but then at 3am, I was expecting the two million to show up but nothing really changed."

Despite lacking in numbers, they did - apparently - see a small bit of success.

Elixir claims: "Some people did get in at 3am this morning. One person got caught and they took them away, but then two other people made it in and out without the security people knowing."

Wait, what? People got in? How far?

"Oh, about two or three feet..."

Ah, that's barely far enough to see one alien, let alone many.

According to CBS News, Lincoln County police has confirmed that one man was arrested (on a charge of public urination rather than alien-hunting) and another was detained early Friday morning. Lincoln County Sheriff Kerry Lee has scheduled a media briefing later today.

Well, at least they weren't shot by the US Air Force, for whom - despite their earlier warnings - Elixir reserved some praise.

"I think in person they [the security at Area 51] handled it very well. They were taking pictures with people and it seemed like they knew what they were doing, they were being very nice."

So long as no one gets hurt, it's all harmless fun.

Either way, LADbible has reached out to Lincoln County Police Department for a comment.
