TikTok Star Says She Is Banned From Dating Apps And Doesn't Know Why

Ava Bamby has a huge online following, but can't use Tinder, Bumble, or OkCupid because she claimed they keep deleting her profiles

A woman claims she has been kicked off all of the major dating apps within a matter of days of signing up, and has no idea why she keeps being banned.

Ava Bamby - who started out on a career in the military before switching paths and becoming a content creator, TikTok star and influencer - believes the dating companies might have booted her because people have impersonated her or because of some 'other systemic flaw', but ultimately has no idea.

It all started when she decided that she wanted to attempt to get into the dating world, but found her options hampered by the coronavirus pandemic.

Ava Bamby

She told LADbible: "I had decided that it was time for me to try to date. As someone who never goes out, it's already hard enough to meet a suitable partner.

"When I say I don't go out, like, I order my groceries to my door.

"As if that weren't enough, it was and is a pandemic. Coronavirus wasn't making it any easier!

"So I caved in and signed up for Tinder. In less than 24 hours, I was banned."

Ava Bamby

"I didn't use any questionable or inappropriate photos.

"I verified myself with their selfie/photo verification process. I even paid for their premium Tinder account.

"Not only did they ban me, they did not refund my premium payment."

OK, so it wasn't a good start, but - pun completely intended - there are plenty more fish in the sea where dating apps are concerned, right?

However, her luck didn't improve.

She continued: "I then tried Bumble, but an identical sequence happened.

"I am a bit disappointed in Bumble, since I know they are all about female empowerment and I'm receiving mistreatment.

"I then proceeded to OkCupid, Hinge, and many other lesser known ones.

"I have yet to join a dating app that lets me stay on for 24-48 hours, even after verifying myself through their own systems."

As well as not having any idea why she's been banned from the platforms, she also claims there are a lot of 'human support people who just don't care to help me'.

Bamby has garnered a massive following across TikTok - where she has 2.3 million followers - and Instagram since she decided to pack in her prospective military career.

She also has an account on subscription site Fanplace, where users can sign up to see some more exclusive and - let's say - risqué content.

With that in mind, there's probably no shortage of people willing to take her out on a date, regardless of what the major dating apps might do.

LADbible has reached out to Tinder, Bumble and OkCupid for comment.
