'Phantom Bar Stool' Moves By Itself In Creepy CCTV Footage From 'Haunted Pub'

The new landlady of a pub reckons her boozer is 'haunted' and has the CCTV to 'prove it' claiming that glasses fly off the tables, chairs move and darts throw themselves. CCTV settles every ghostly tiff, right?

The Black Bull owner, Kelly Hedley, took on the pub seven weeks ago but is convinced that it's haunted - so much so that she's already got the Ghostbusters in to scope the place out.

Spook searchers Ghostwatchers UK visited the pub in the hope of spotting a supernatural being, and although they didn't see anything, they heard something creepy.

Member of the group, Phil Reily, said: "When [Kelly] had gone to bed, we were investigating the cellar when we heard a bang and she heard some scraping. When we came back the stools had moved yet none of us had been in."

And spooky CCTV appears to show the creepy moment a chair appears to move unassisted, Kelly, 29, said.

She now wants to know whether her pub is genuinely haunted - wasn't that the job for Ghostwatchers UK?

She explained: "When I first arrived here, I felt absolutely fine. Then someone randomly asked me 'has anything happened yet'."

And that would be me running for the hills.

Kelly continued: "I asked what they meant and they said 'this is one of the most haunted pubs in the North East'.

"Since then, loads has been going on - even my cats are on edge.

"Even the darts throw themselves at the board. My lights flash all the time, I've heard furniture move when nobody else has been in. On Saturday we had a big group in and they all stopped to watch the glass move and smash."

According to Chronicle Live, there's a spare room in the pub that Kelly won't dare enter.

She explained: "There's just something about it and I don't know what it is, it is just....not right.

"It has been cleaned yet it still has this horrible smell and you get a feeling of heaviness when you walk in. You don't even feel right if the door is open."

'The room'.

Back in July, someone else was given an almighty scare after a ghostly apparition appeared in a photo behind two children.

Their mum, Laura Watson, from Newcastle, took the picture of the kids on a trip to Plessey Woods Park, before noticing what appears to be a small child over his shoulder in the image.

She is now so freaked out by the image she claims that it has stopped her from being able to sleep.

"It's very unusual and everyone is really freaked out. Me and my daughter couldn't even go to sleep last night because we were so scared," said Laura, a medical receptionist.

Why do things like this happen to good people? And why do things like this have to be written by good people?
