People Baffled By Bizarre Description Of Vegan Sausages On Sainsbury's Website

THIS Isn't Pork vegan sausages are advertised in a very strange way on Sainsbury's website

People have been left baffled by a bizarre description for some vegan sausages on the Sainsbury's website.

Full disclosure, this could be a bit of a wind-up, but even if it turns out to be a piece of marketing, it's still funny.

Tasked with writing a description of 'This Isn't Pork Plant-Based Sausages', a copywriter appears to have gone rogue and started typing out a string of barely legible sentences.

Sainsbury's

Somehow, they've made it to Sainsbury's website, and - at the time of writing - it remains there as we speak.

The product description reads: "Plant-based sausages made from pea protein.

"100% Plant-Based

"High in Protein and Fibre

"Suitable for Vegetarians & Vegans

"Plant-based sausages made from pea protein.

"High in protein
"High In fibre
"100% plant-based"

So far, so normal, right?

Then, it takes a massively swift turn into nonsense, continuing: "Nobodyreadddssstheeeseeee spaaarrreeeee spppapaaa ccceee onnn thissorryThisssssssspaaackkkkkk uuuuu "uuuuuuuuummmrrmmmmmmmmm "haveitthewordcountyetwhambamthankyoumamsupercalafragilisticex piealidocious "fillerfillerfillerfilleryesssssss icannntttbellliievvveethiisismyyyjobbbblollllllllsssbyeee."

Perhaps the best bit is that after this madness, they return to the normal tones of these sorts of product descriptions, finishing with: "Packaged in a protective atmosphere."

Well, so long as they're packaged in a protective atmosphere.

If this has set you on the way to the shops to buy some of these sausages, they're only £3, so get stuck in.

However, it's unlikely that you've been given the requisite product information to make a judgement call on it from that description.

Sainsbury's

Of course, there is a chance that this is just a company attempting to be funny, and if it is: mission accomplished.

However, it would be even more funny if it turned out to be real, wouldn't it?

It was spotted and shared on Twitter by user @alicegibbs_, who said: "Obsessed with the copywriter at Sainsbury's who has simply had enough."

One person commented: "Just found the page this is on, still live. Blimey."

A second wrote: "I think I just caught feelings."

A third said: "Hate to be a party pooper, but I think we've all, once again, fallen for goddamn corporate marketing..

"This is on the actual box of the THIS (good bacon) vegan sausages. day ruined."

We've yet to have the chance to rush off to the supermarket to check the packaging, but it definitely does sound like it could be the case.

LADbible has contacted Sainsbury's and THIS for a comment.
