A YouTube urban explorer has shared his latest adventure - a 'shag pad' tucked away in the grounds of a former asylum.

Daniel Sims, who uses the name Bearded Reality on YouTube, visited an abandoned building on the site of the former Storthes Hall asylum, in Huddersfield, which is now part of a student campus.

In the clip Daniel approaches the crumbling house, which is thought to have been left pretty much untouched for the past three decades.

Inside the building Daniel finds a number of beds and mattresses lying about the place, prompting him to jokingly brand it a 'shag pad'. Because what could be sexier than an abandoned building on the site of a former asylum, eh?

Daniel managed to climb inside one of the super creepy houses through a broken window and was able to take a look around.

On the mantelpiece he spots a trainer with the ominous warning: "Don't touch the shoe".

And as if that's not spooky enough, as he continues his journey through the house, Daniel hears a noise from upstairs and decides enough is enough.

Speaking to the Huddersfield Examiner, Daniel said: "I used to explore on my own but over time I've become used to exploring with other people as anything can happen in these places so I am just a bit careful and try not to take chances when I'm in a location with only a few exits."

In the clip he can be heard saying: "I don't like it. I don't like it" before exiting the house through the window and returning later with his pal Jason.

With Jason on hand, Daniel is happy to begin exploring again, and the pair stumble across a room that Daniel reckons is a 'sesh room', before joking that it's possibly still used by students as some sort of hangout.

They then enter the next room, which has the words 'anal queen' graffitied on the wall as well as a couple of beds.

A grossed out Daniel can be heard to say: "I hope to God people haven't been shagging here."

Daniel told the Huddersfield Examiner: "I was joking about shag pad. But you can never tell. It clearly was, or still is, a hangout of some kind."
