A gamer who became infamous for having one of the dirtiest rooms in the world has relapsed and gone back to his old ways, blaming World of Warcraft Classic for his descent back into filth.

Twitch streamer Jaegerrmeister went viral back in early June after revealing that he hadn't cleaned his room in over 14 years, and was living in what was essentially a giant pile of trash.

But after images of his living quarters started to circulate around the web and a number of onlookers began to claim that even merely looking at his room was starting to make them feel sick, the streamer eventually caved. Following an epic bout of public shaming, he decided to do something about the situation.

Donning a pair of cleaning gloves and armed with a large stack of bin bags, he finally gave his room a much-needed cleaning, even posting a stunning time-lapse video of the event that's clocked up nearly 5000 views.

However, all good things come to an end and he's since let it all slip again, blaming WoW Classic for his return to the bad old ways.

During a stream on 12 September, a viewer asked how the room was holding up, which prompted a moment of hesitation from Jaegerr as he tried to avoid the question.

"'Let's see the room?' Hey, you don't want to see the room," he said, with a grin on his face.

"You can clean the room, you can't clean the lifestyle dude. I f***ing got back on this classic WoW s*** - dude, my room absolutely went to hell, I'm going to be honest," he added.

"'Let's see it?' Son, you don't want to see it."

After repeated demands he finally caved in and revealed a fresh layer of garbage on the floor, almost revelling in the mounds of empty bottles, boxes and fast food wrappers that were strewn across the room.

When pressed if he was going to clean his room on camera again, Jaegerr said: "Dude! More content, I get to clean my room on-stream again, hooray,"

But moments later he quickly backed down, adding: "Actually, I don't think I'm going to clean my room on-stream again, to be honest."

Whether the promise of another viral clean-up video is enough to change his mind remains to be seen. In the meantime, just in case this still needs to be said - don't forget to tidy your room, kids.
