A woman has shared a set of 'creepy' rules that her boyfriend's mum posted on Instagram.

The TikTok user shared the video, which shows a green screen of her singing along to the song added on to the clip, Puddle of Mudd - 'She F***ing Hates Me'.

The post shared by her boyfriend's mum doesn't exactly hold back. If you've ever had to deal with a cranky mother-in-law, it will probably give you flashbacks.

The post itself lays out the rules that presumably the woman's mother-in-law applies to people who date her son, and they really are a bit much.

To start with, she makes repeated threats that she could make the hypothetical girlfriend of her son 'go away' - which is weird in itself.

It reads: "He is not your ATM.

"If you show up to my house looking like a stripper, I will make you go away."

A strong start, from this you can see the way the post is going.

It goes on, weirdly: "If I see any sexts on his phone, I will make you go away."

Which would suggest the mom likes to look at her son's phone.

The post gets more threatening: "Understand that if I don't like you, I will make you go away.

"Understand that I can make you go away."

I think we get the idea, mate.

And then, Captain Obvious continues: "He's a mama's boy, unless you have a ring on your finger, your opinion of that does not matter.

"You are not in charge of him and it is not up to you to change him. Take him for who he is, or see rule five."

The not adds that 'he's a gentleman', saying the girlfriend should 'act like a lady'.

Potentially the most ominous of the 'rules', reads: "I know how to avoid jail."

And concludes: "If you weasel your way past all of these rules and fake your way to a ring on your finger, I will be something much worse than your boyfriend's mom. I'll be your mother-in-law."

And that does not seem like an appealing prospect.

TikTok users agree.

One joked: "Tell me you're attracted to your own son without telling me you're attracted to your own son."

Another wrote: "This is so embarrassing for her, I am so sorry you need to deal with that."
