Being skinny is very much out of fashion for women these days. With the Kardashians littering the internet and Beyoncé still reigning as pop royalty, big behinds are definitely the desired look.

It's possible to craft a peachy rear in the gym, but it takes dedication and a lot of work. For a lot of women who aren't naturally blessed in that region, there are surgical options available, but they're not necessarily the cheapest avenue to take.

Butt enhancement procedures - or gluteoplasty - usually involves some form of liposuction, known as fat grafting.

Fat is removed from one area of the body and transferred to the bum to create a fuller, rounder behind. Quite literally inserting junk into the trunk.

That's the procedure that Latin American actress Yina Calderon opted for three years ago, and while she's enjoyed the results since, it's suddenly all gone wrong.

The voluptuous soap star has posted two videos to her Instagram account, which has 430k followers, to show how her body is rejecting the treatment.

She thought that she was being injected with a combination of Vitamin C and her own body fat, but the pain she is currently in suggests otherwise.

Ms Calderon is now visiting a different doctor to the guy who performed the original procedure, who says she was actually injected with biopolymers, which are large molecules produced by living organisms.

Obviously, all cosmetic procedures come with a risk, but after three years you'd think you'd be in the clear. She said she has been unable to move from her bed because of the pain.

The video clips have been viewed a combined 600k times at the time of writing, attracting more than 3,000 comments.

She's quoted her new doctor, who plans to correct the problem, who apparently said, "Yina, you have biopolymers in your buttocks and your body is rejecting them. I can see you in two days to extract them."

The videos show that her figure has become disfigured, and she's heard shouting out in pain when the area is touched. One clip is titled: "Biopolymers kill."

Ms Calderon wrote: "The pain is incredible and causing heavy depression. I am sharing this with you because I am sure that some women are thinking about having this treatment done.

"I have always been strong, but this lowers your spirit. Biopolymers and other foreign substances in your body will - sooner or later - take their toll."
