The BRIT awards is returning for its 44th year tonight and it looks set to be a glamorous affair.
It usually takes place in February, but due to the pandemic, the organisers decided to push it back to May to avoid another awards ceremony happening over Zoom.
The event takes place at the O2 arena in London and comedian Jack Whitehall is presenting again. 2,500 frontline workers have been invited to sit in the live audience. 11,000 people will be attending the event, which forms part of the Government's 'Scientific Events Research Programme.'
Cardi B and Ariana Grande are among those nominated for best international solo artist and Little Mix have been nominated for best British group - despite recently adjusting to becoming a threesome after losing Jesy Nelson.
Taylor Swift will also become the first female artist to be presented with the BRITs Global Icon award tomorrow.
Here's everything you need to know about the BRITs 2021.
If you weren't lucky enough to get your hands on tickets, or you just fancy watching it from the comfort of your own home, the BRITs will be broadcast on ITV and ITV Hub from 8-10pm.
"We're buzzing," said Geoff Taylor, Chief Executive BPI & BRIT Awards.
"This year's BRIT Awards... is one of the most significant in the show's history. Not only will we be celebrating the brilliant music and artists that have helped us through the pandemic, but we hope it will provide a path for the return of live music that fans and artists have so sorely missed." We're with you on that one Geoff!
Fans are dying to know if Little Mix will be performing at tonight's ceremony and sadly, they're not in the line-up. That's probably a good thing considering two of the band members announced this week that they're pregnant. The band have been nominated for an award though. Likewise, Harry Styles isn't in the line-up this year, much to fans' disappointment. The former One Direction singer is a nominee for his hit 'Watermelon Sugar High'.
But fear not, there is a red-hot lineup of performers for the BRITs this year. Dua Lipa will be giving a performance, as well as: The Weeknd, Arlo Parks, Coldplay, Griff, Headie One, Olivia Rodrigo and Rag'n'Bone Man, and P!nk with the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust Choir.
The BRITs 2021 set to be an amazing night of music and glam. But don't worry if you miss it, we'll update you with all the latest BRITs gossip afterwards.
