FIFA 22 is on the horizon and gamers are already wondering if new leagues will be added to the game.

As it stands, there are currently 36 leagues and more than 270 playable teams from around the world right now, but will EA Sports be adding any more divisions to its next instalment?

We didn't see any new leagues added in FIFA 21 and it goes without saying that it would be a desperate shame if that were to happen again.

With the 'Rest of the World' category in the kick-off menus playing host to some great clubs with rich histories, their respective domestic leagues would, almost certainly, be welcomed additions.

The Russian League and Italian Serie B have been removed in recent instalments, too, so the sooner they come back the better.

And as you can imagine, the FIFA community has been voicing their opinions on which leagues should be brought into the game.

FIFPlay currently have a live vote for which leagues fans want most, and you can have your say here.

But what do we know about EA's plans to bring new leagues to the game so far?

Are any new leagues being added to FIFA 22?

Sadly, as it stands, we just don't know yet.

As always, though, there has been a lot of fans desperate to see teams from England's National League added to FIFA 22.

However, there is no information on whether they will be involved, despite gamers' pleas for them to make an appearance.

Meanwhile, yet again, Juventus will not be involved in the game, as Konami still has at least another year to run of its exclusivity deal - meaning only PES 2022 can use that name.

This means that players will be stuck with Piemonte Calcio.

Unfortunately, it will be a similar story with AS Roma, who will yet again be rechristened Roma FC in FIFA 22.

It's just not the same, is it?
