The Forever Purge release date
The film was due to be released in cinemas in July 2020, but COVID-19 put a stop to that. It's now due to be released on 16th July 2021.
The Forever Purge plot
The Purge is a pretty terrifying concept. Basically, one night a year, all crime is legal: murder, torture, rape and theft are all allowed as a form of a societal safety valve. What perhaps makes it even more alarming is the fact that the horror movie series is based on historical events.
And naturally, James DeMonaco, who wrote and directed the first four movies, is at the helm of the final film.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly about the fifth movie's conception in 2019, he said: "When I came up with the idea and pitched it to everybody, they seemed psyched, and I think it will be a really cool ending, how we take this one home."
In the first four films, the lift on all laws only lasts one night. But in the final film, a group of the lawless marauders decide that this purge shouldn't end at daybreak and keep going.
Where will it end? Will the human race be wiped out eventually by a forever purge? Or will the lawless start to revert back to some form of law and order?
