Where Was Marvel’s The Eternals Filmed?

Marvel's Eternals has officially (finally) landed in cinemas and as always, fans are keen to see where the movie magic happened.

Starring Angelina Jolie and Richard Madden, and directed by Academy Award-winner Chloé Zhao (Nomadland), this explosive new action-adventure film introduces us to several new characters in the MCU.

Describing the new film, Marvel said: "The epic story, spanning thousands of years, features a group of immortal heroes forced out of the shadows who reunite against mankind's oldest enemy, The Deviants."

Salma Hayek, who plays Ajak, told fans to expect the unexpected. "It has a completely different DNA from the [other Marvel movies]," she told Variety.

Like many blockbusters, filming for The Eternals was an international affair, with shoots in the US, UK and Spain. Principal photography for the film began in July 2019 and filming finally wrapped in February 2020 (after delays due to Covid-19).

"It's shot differently than all the other ones. It's in real locations and they found some crazy extra-terrestrial-looking locations," added Hayek.

Here is a list of the filming locations for The Eternals:

Reports say that the cast and crew had to be evacuated while filming in Fuerteventura due to a bomb scare. Apparently it was an old World War 2 device which hadn't exploded.

Eternals landed in cinemas in the UK on 5th November 2021.
