Gigi Hadid has been praised for helping a fellow model get her big break after showing her some love on Instagram. Nanga Awasum's name has now gone viral thanks to Gigi's adorable post. So who is she?
Gigi posted to her 68 million followers over the weekend to share her admiration for Nanga's chic dressed down outfit.
Gigi took a selfie in New York City with Nanga walking away in the background. Gigi wrote in the photo: "Shoutout to my NYC inspiration of the day: this queen. Was too drooling to get a pic of the front, but she was major."
In response, Nanga tweeted a picture of herself in the mirror and said: "It's the way @GiGiHadid would have changed my entire life if I was only facing the right way."

Retweeting the tweet, Gigi wrote: "You were facing the right way exactly where you were headed. Sunshine! Sending biiiiig love Nanga!"
And Gigi did indeed change Nanga's entire life.
What's more is Nanga didn't even like her outfit and told E! News that it's something she just "threw on."

"I woke up that morning and I threw on this outfit and I really, really didn't like the outfit at all, but I had 30 minutes to get to work and I had to get on set," she explained. "I was like, God, I hate it but I have no more time and I just ran out of the house."
E! added that Nanga has now secured a modelling gig with Maybelline and is in talks with Nasty Girl about a brand ambassador deal, among other opportunities.
Moreover, Twitter users have started a campaign to get the model a role in HBO Max revival of Gossip Girl.
Who is Nanga Awasum?
Nanga Awasum, 23, is a model from Maryland, US.

She is a graduate of Damascus High School and is currently studying at Morgan State University.
Nanga signed with the talent management agency Wilhelmina New York in October 2019, but told E! News that she'd struggled to get signed.
"I've been told I was ugly, I've been turned down by so many agencies, I've been turned down by so many jobs and just to have someone like her see me and tell me that I was pretty and tell me I was major, it changed the trajectory of my month," Nanga told E! News.
On Sunday (18th July), Nanga tweeted with excitement as Gigi and Bella had gone on Instagram and liked her photos.
