Tom Daley has been killing it at the Olympics this summer. After a 13-year wait in his Olympic diving career, he finally won a gold medal at the Tokyo games on Monday (26th July) with diving partner Matty Lee - and it's been as emotional for his family as it has for him.
Tom Daley has a solid support system back home cheering him on. Among them is Tom's husband, Dustin Lance Black.
Dustin posted to his Instagram following Tom's win on Monday and said how proud he was of him.

He wrote in his story: "Congratulations my Olympic champion" and it's clear he and son Robbie have been getting into the spirit of things in Canada, as they're not allowed to be in Tokyo due to coronavirus.
Dustin flew "Nana Debs" (Tom's mum) and their son Robbie out to Canada to "where we're gonna be so damn loud, Tom will hear us cheering from this maple leaf state." And Dustin alone was loud enough to be heard from Tokyo.

Dustin Lance Black, also known as Lance Black, is Tom Daley's husband of four years.

They met in 2013 at an industry event, according to The Mirror, where apparently Tom first got speaking to Dustin about the goings on in the Olympic Village and how it would make a good film.
Tom and Dustin got married at Bovey Castle, near Plymouth, Devon in 2017.
Dustin is an American screenwriter and director. He rose to fame in 2008 after winning an Oscar in 2008 for writing the screenplay for Milk, which is about the gay San Francisco politician, Harvey Milk.

His other notable works include Clint Eastwood's J. Edgar, which he wrote the screenplay for, and he's also written the screenplay for popular TV series Big Love and Faking It.
Dustin was born in Sacramento, California, into a Mourmom household and according to The Mirror, he first realised he was attracted to men at the age of seven. He said: "I'm going to hell. And if I ever admit it, I'll be hurt, and I'll be brought down."
Dustin is now an LGBTQ+ activist and a member of the American Foundation for Equal Rights.

Dustin was born on 10th June 1974, making him 47-years-old in 2021 and 20 years older than Tom, who was born on 21st May 1994.
