Barack Obama has decided to end his time as the President of the United States with a bang - or at least a knockout party!

Ever wanted to get smashed with the Obamas? It'd be a pretty cool scene - you'd imagine Joe Biden would be at his side, memeing away. Barack would be the cool kid everyone would wish to hang out with.

A party they had and, yep, we know, The Donald doesn't need celeb pals, he's got Rebecca Ferguson, but it's a seriously cool party Barack threw.

Apparently they stayed out partying until four in the morning - I'm impressed at their stamina. By 2am I have my kebab in my hand and have to choice between scoffing it quick or falling asleep.

So who did they invite? Pretty much everyone who is anyone. Of course, Beyonce and Jay Z were there - reports say that they might have performed as well. Other Obama besties were there as well, like musician John Legend and model Chrissy Teigen, and Beyonce's old Destiny's Child mucker Kelly Rowland.

It wasn't just singers though - comedian Tyler Perry and Magic Johnson attended as well.

Old legends like Paul MacCartney (since when was he American?), Robert De Niro and Bruce Springsteen showed up, as well as Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep.

Harvey Goldstein, the producer who bangs out so many Oscar-winning hits, was there too - and Anna Wintour. She kept tight lipped about her meeting with Donald Trump earlier that morning - is she going to put him on the cover of Vogue US?

They wouldn't let any cameras into the party - so you know it was amazing - but Chance the Rapper said: "just know it was historic, it was black, it was beautiful, there was dancing, there was laughing, there was loving there was hugs."

Reports that Barack got his groove on have come flooding in - after all, the Obamas have the moves. I hope he did some DJ-ing as well - can you imagine Barack on the decks?

The only photos we have are the ones the celebrities took when they left the party.

Let's see what The Donald has in store.
