After all these years, they're still mates.

You'd think when filming finishes on a TV show or movie, the actors involved go their separate ways and maybe say 'hi' to each other every now and then on the red carpet.

That might be true for some projects, but it doesn't look the case for some members from the critically acclaimed, legendary show Breaking Bad.

Despite going through some high highs and low lows on the show, it seems like Aaron Paul, who played Jesse Pinkman and Bryan Cranston, who played Walter 'The Man Who Knocks' White, are still mates.

So much so, that Paul invited Cranston along to his lavish 40th birthday celebrations in the Dominican Republic.

The actor rented out an incredible looking 14-suite resort for his friends and family for a 10 day party.

Writing on Instagram, Paul said: "Never have I felt more taken care of in my life.

"I love my friends. My family. My god. I just returned from the best birthday trip of my life and I have all of them to thank for that.

"My magical wife planned the entire thing along with this incredible staff and turned these past 10 days into something that is impossible to explain. I adore you angel.

"If you haven't had the opportunity to travel to the Dominican Republic please do yourself a favor and make that happen. It is truly such a magical place filled with magical people.

"Also, thank you everyone for your birthday messages this past week. They all warmed my heart. I had my phone locked away in my room for the entire trip and instead of my phone I had two Dos Hombres Mezcal Pina Colada's glued to my hands at all times. It was delightful."

He posted a photo of himself and Cranston together, dressed in white, cradling glasses of their joint tequila company Dos Hombres.

To be fair, it looks like a pretty amazing party.

The extravagant affair was topped with incredible weather and a fireworks display that would have no doubt cost an absolute fortune.

Now that the birthday celebrations are well and truly over, everyone is looking towards El Camino, the Breaking Bad movie that is coming out shortly on Netflix.

There are very few details on what it will be about however we know that the movie title refers to the car that Jesse Pinkman drove off during the final episode of the series. Cannot wait for it.
