Adam Hills is a bloody legend not only for his work on the iconic music game show Spicks and Specks but also for his comedy and his work with disabled people.

But he's recently revealed that his dedication to helping people with disabilities takes precedent over everything; even meeting a Royal.

Hills explained how he got an invite to meet Prince Charles for his big 70th birthday at Buckingham Palace last year but turned it down.

What possible event could have prevent him from meeting the next in line to the British throne?

Footy training.

The comedian, who was born without a right foot and wears a prosthesis, plays for the Warrington Wolves Physical Disability Rugby League team and they had training the evening of the big Royal bash.

So naturally, Hills reckoned it was more important to make sure his team mates were putting in the hard work rather than rub shoulders with loads of people at the Palace.

Hills told ITV that he 'gets more out of [playing with the Warrington Wolves] than anything else I do during the week'. He added that he travels from London to Warrington, at least a two hour journey on the train, every time the team has training or a game.

There are now six Physical Disability Rugby League teams in England and Hills reckons it's a fantastic way for people with other abilities to get involved in sport.

"We don't just do this for a bit of hit and giggle. We do it because we want to win and hit really hard," he told the UK broadcaster.

We always knew Adam Hills was a legend but this revelation takes him to another level because it shows you that he's using his profile to help others.
