Jamie Foxx has appeared in many classic cult films over the years, displaying his varied acting abilities in comedies, action movies and dramas.

He's played Ray Charles, the president, a slave in Django Unchained, Electro, and Ricardo Tubbs. But the 49-year-old doesn't only excel onscreen.

Foxx, whose real name is Eric Morlon Bishop, is a successful musician and famously appeared on Kanye West's Gold Digger. It's also worth remembering that he's a Grammy award-winning artist and has released five studio albums.

Peep This (1994), Unpredictable (2005), Intuition (2008), Best Night of My Life (2010), Hollywood: A Story of a Dozen Roses (2015) have all gained critical acclaim, with his 2005 release topping the US Billboard 200.

After graduating from high school, the actor attended United States International University where he studied classical music and composition. He's also often collaborated with rappers since then. Let's remember he was involved in the song Slow Jamz by Twista featuring Kanye, which Q magazine listed as the 19th greatest hip-hop song of all time.

Unfortunately, due to acting commitments, Foxx has only embarked on two official tours in 2006 and 2009.

All in all, he's won nine awards for his musical talents. That is thanks to the albums Unpredictable and Intuition, his collaboration with T-Pain on Blame It, and his work with Kanye on Gold Digger.
