Arnold Schwarzenegger Goes For Bike Ride With ‘Hero’ Greta Thunberg

Just a month after offering to lend Greta Thunberg his electric car, Arnold Schwarzenegger has now decided to go for a bicycle ride with the young environmental campaigner.

The two hopped on their bikes and rode around Santa Monica, before the action movie icon introduced Thunberg to his daughter Christina.

Referring to Thunberg as one of his 'heroes' Arnie shared a few photos from their day on Twitter, writing: "It was fantastic to see my friend and one of my heroes @GretaThunberg last week and go on a bike ride around Santa Monica together and I was so pumped to introduce her to my daughter Christina. Keep inspiring, Greta!"

Thunberg has been travelling across the States, having tweeted yesterday: "Since Friday afternoon I've been traveling east through the beautiful southern states in the USA to get to the east coast and hopefully find a transport to COP25 in Madrid..."

A few days ago she also got to meet Oscar-winning actor and environmentalist Leonardo DiCaprio - who had nothing but praise for the 16-year-old Swede.

In a post on Instagram, he said: "There are few times in human history where voices are amplified at such pivotal moments and in such transformational ways - but Greta Thunberg has become a leader of our time.

"History will judge us for what we do today to help guarantee that future generations can enjoy the same liveable planet that we have so clearly taken for granted. I hope that Greta's message is a wake-up call to world leaders everywhere that the time for inaction is over. It is because of Greta, and young activists everywhere that I am optimistic about what the future holds.

"It was an honour to spend time with Greta. She and I have made a commitment to support one another, in hopes of securing a brighter future for our planet."
