The Brit Awards was full of its usual drama, entertainment and awkwardness with performances from Sam Smith, Dua Lipa, Little Mix and The 1975.
The best and brightest acts from the UK were honoured during the glitzy ceremony in London, but there was one award recipient that raised a few eyebrows.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z won the Best International Group for their collaborative album EVERYTHING IS LOVE.
The mega-duo wasn't in the audience and instead chose to send a video thanking the Brits for the award.
They were posed in a similar way to the aesthetic they pulled in the Apeshit video, where they were dress in pastel colours inside the Louvre in front of the Mona Lisa.
However in this video, they were stood in front a portrait of Meghan Markle wearing a tiara and looking very regal.
In a caption on Instagram, Beyonce said: "In honor of Black History Month, we bow down to one of our Melanated Monas. Congrats on your pregnancy! We wish you so much joy."
Naturally, the comments flew in thick and fast on social media.
Many believe the UK tabloids haven't portrayed Meghan in a positive light and The Carters are showing their solidarity
One person wrote: "Listen yeah, do you even UNDERSTAND how important Beyonce and Jay's statement was? They snubbed the Grammy's yet filmed something for the Brits to honour Meghan Markle as an act of solidarity as she faces the most blatant misogynies."
Another added: "I love how Beyoncé in particular is very aware of what's going on in the media and how she makes powerful statements so subtly. They knew exactly what they were doing by having Meghan Markle as Mona Lisa and I'm 1000% here for it."
A third said: "Wow at Beyonce and Jay-Z not only making an acceptance video, but doing so in front of a portrait of Meghan Markle. Very classy, pointed support of a black woman being treated repulsively by the UK tabloids."
But it wasn't all cheers, with one person saying: "Classless. This was not a good move, mocking the royal family."
Another social media user mocked the celebrity couple with: "These two should be ashamed of themselves. This is the absurd coupled with ridiculous."
It wouldn't be the Brits without a bit of scandal and drama now would it? We wonder if the Duchess of Sussex has seen the shout out.
