Earlier this year, Brendan Fraser found himself choking up as a fan told him how many supporters he had behind him. Now the interviewer has explained what went on. Here's the video again:

Cosplay TikToker, Lindley Kay, was part of a virtual meet-and-greet with Fraser and took her chance at telling him how much everyone loves him.

In response, 52-year-old Fraser smiled and took a swig of his water as he seemingly choked up during his conversation with Lindley - who had dressed up as Evelyn Carnahan from The Mummy for the occasion.

Rearranging his head, he said: "Shucks, ma'am," and when Lindley posted the clip on to TikTok she concluded that he was the 'purest soul'.

Lindley has now said that he was 'the sweetest of humans' and explained how he remembered her name during their chat. Which must have been pretty cool considering he was her 'first celebrity crush'.

Lindley said: "The moment he saw me, he said 'Evelyn, the years have been good to you'. And I became twitterpated all over again."

She went on to add that it was 'one of the best experiences' of her life and it seems that the quick meeting meant a lot to Fraser as well.

That's because he remembered the moment and even spoke about it during a question and answer session at Fan Expo Boston 2021.

Recalling the moment, Lindley said: "He said something like 'it was big on TikTok, I don't know, I don't do TikTok.

"And then he said 'I had a lovely chat with this woman named Lindley'. The fact that the man took the time not only to learn my screen name, but he remembered my name, that meant the world. I couldn't stop smiling."

In the original TikTok video that went viral, Fraser was speaking about his role in new release Killers of the Flower Moon where he was cast alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert DeNiro.

He explained: "Thank you, I think I might be sick. A little anxious. I mean, it's going to be fun, but I'm like [pretends to chew fingernails]."

Lindley then says: "You've got this. You've got this. Just know that the internet is so behind you. We're so supportive. There are so many people out there who love you, and we're rooting for you. And we can't wait to see what you do next."
