Candyman's Model Daughter Had Strict Upbringing And Worked At McDonald's, Despite Dad's Millions

It could be easy to assume that someone whose dad has millions in the bank might come across workshy, spoilt or a little frivolous when it comes to money.

Quite the opposite can be said for Lucciana Beynon, though. If you're not familiar, her dad is Travers Beynon - otherwise known as Candyman - the businessman who made his millions as a tobacco tycoon.

Now, he lives at home - at the Candyshop mansion in Australia with a host of girlfriends, as well as a wife.

Despite Travers' fortune, Lucciana, 19, says that she and her siblings were always taught the value of money - which explains why she got her first job at McDonald's when she was just 15.

The model, who is currently living in London, told LADbible: "I wanted to [work at McDonald's] because my dad had put that mentality in mine and my brother's heads. My brother [Valentino Beynon] worked at McDonald's as well. We worked at different ones because my dad said not to work at the same one as we'd be idiots.

"We worked every few days. It was to learn the value of money and save money. You never learn the true value of money until you have your own money.

"If I got $500, I'd take $100 for spending money for $400 to save. That's what would happen all the time.

"People asked why I was working - all the time. It annoyed me but that's the stereotype, a lot of people would just think dad would just give us money - it was the complete opposite. I worked for my money."

As well as encouraging her to work hard for money, Travers also ran a tight ship and even grounded his daughter for sneaking out of the house - we've all been there.

She remembered: "It was for three months. He took my phone, my laptop - this was during my birthday as well. No phone, no laptop, no TV, no seeing friends for three months and I was a teenager.

"I think [it was because] I snuck out - the one thing I learned was not to lie to dad. He was very, very strict but different to what other parents are strict on.

"He was strict on manners, respecting your elders, listening not talking - you're never learning if you're always talking, I've definitely taken that into consideration. Everything he taught when we were younger it's all paid off now. I wouldn't be the person I am today without him."

It's clear to see that the teenager has been massively influenced by her old man but there's one thing she's sure isn't for her: polyamory.

Speaking about her dad's lifestyle, she said: "People ask me all the time 'isn't it weird that your dad has all these girlfriends' to me, it's not weird. I love my dad no matter what and if he's happy then I'm happy and I think it's cool.

"I wouldn't do it; I wouldn't do that s*** because I'm crazy but if he's found a group of girls that can do it and he's happy, they're happy and who wouldn't want to get spoilt like he spoils them. I would never, ever change him. I would never, ever want him to change.

"I'm grateful he is the way he is because I just learn so many things - with men and women and the way people work. I feel like it made me almost ready to be by myself out in the big world. Anything that happened, he would always give me a life lesson."

Lucciana made the move to the UK shortly after her 18th birthday. Travers stayed with her for a week before she had to fend for herself, and, the worst part for her - the trains.

She went on: "It was strange, going from having someone always there to help me make decisions to going to me making my own decisions and taking responsibility for everything - like catching the trains.

"That was one of the hardest things when I moved here, working out the trains and everything."

It took her some time to settle in and meet people though because she'd never had to put herself out there before.

"It took me probably a month and a bit until I found my first friend because in Australia, I never ever had a fake I.D, I never went to the clubs, I never did that. I always partied at home. There was never any need for me to go anywhere.

"So, when I came to London, because I'm so used to partying at home I didn't really go out. For a month and a bit, I didn't do anything so I didn't have any friends."

Lucciana - who is a firm believer in body positivity and has embraced her natural curves - has her sights set on big things.

Talking about her future, she said: "[I want to] Continue with my modelling career, I want to be international. Going to Miami, LA, doing big, big campaigns is what I want to do the most and just have a name for myself, for myself. Not for my dad.

"I've learned so much from my dad that it's always going to be part of my narrative. I can't help that everything I say comes from him because I learned everything from him."
