Model Caprice Bourret has said women should be sleeping with their husbands regularly as it only takes five to 10 minutes, urging spouses to 'take one for the team'.

The 49-year-old said she thinks sex is 'fricking awesome' and that she and her husband are often at it 'like rabbits'.

Speaking to OK! Magazine, she said: "You can't say 'I'm tired' or 'I have a headache' - no!

"Take one for the team, it's between five to ten minutes of your life."

Caprice, who is married to 54-year-old Ty Comfort, was speaking to the magazine about her life in Ibiza, Spain, saying the 100-acre complex with seven bedrooms has helped her family 'heal' after a difficult lockdown.

She continued: "Men are simple creatures - you feed them, give them compliments and sex and they are happy.

"It's the best stress reliever. During the first lockdown I was very active - I was chilled and creative.

"The second was more stressful, but now we're in Ibiza, it's like rabbits."

The star said she believes that once sex in a relationship has gone, things are 'done and dusted', adding: "You have to keep it alive. And if you can settle down from your day and enjoy it, it's fricking awesome. It's the best stress reliever."

She explained that marriage had been something of a game-changer to her relationship, telling the outlet: "I always thought, why do I need a piece of paper to validate my relationship?

"But to say 'this is my husband', it's been a real game-changer.

"Even if we have fights, being married is a different mentality. There's no saying 'I'm leaving'. When you're married, that's it."

The mum-of-two married Comfort, her partner of 10 years, back in 2019.

They got together in 2011, and have two children - Jax and Jett - together.

Speaking on White Wine Question Time in 2020, Caprice revealed that the ceremony had been a surprisingly low-key affair, saying it cost the couple just £40.

She told host Kate Thornton: "It's expensive, these weddings.

"I'd rather put a down-payment on something or make an investment in my business. Go to the registry office - it's the way forward. Forty quid - that's all it cost!"

She added: "We both did cry though during the ceremony. And then we went outside and Ty said, 'OK, should we go have lunch?'

"I said, 'Really?'

"He goes, 'No, you're right. Let's just go to work.'"
