Yesterday Tom Hanks' son Chet sparked controversy when he said that this summer is going to be a 'white boy summer' and now he's started dishing out rules and regs:

Taking to his Instagram stories, once more, he updated fans on what he wanted them to be doing and not doing as well.

Speaking to the camera, the 30-year-old said: "Oh wow wow wow, woke up this morning, internet gone mad again, sheesh. I just wanna drop a few rules and regs for the white boy summer.

"Ok rule number one to all my white boys out there - no plaid shirts, can't be looking like a picnic table out here boys. You know what I'm talking about leave that s***s at home."

He went on to offer an outfit suggestion of a simple white or black tee, telling people to 'keep it simple'.

He went on: "Rule number two, no sperry-topsiders [boat shoes for those in the UK] that's not the kind of white boys we're talking about dog, ok? Get yourself some Vans, some Chucks, some Jordan's. I'm not really a sneaker head but, you know, feel it out. There will be more rules coming."

With that, it seems Chet's mind went into overdrive and all of a sudden he had another rule - not to call girls 'smokeshows'.

Explaining what he meant, he said: "Guys, that term is played out dude. You can't just see a hot chick and be like 'f***ing smokeshow, f***ing smoke, dude', ok, that's over with.

"Oh yeah and anything salmon coloured in your wardrobe. Burn it. Burn that s***. Don't ever wear that again."

He then went on to add: "Bottom line here, gentlemen, is it's time for us to evolve, ok. Period. It's time for us to go from a Pikachu to a Raichu."

Once back in his car and now clothed, Chet came back online to dish out a few more conditions to his idea which is a play on Megan Thee Stallion's song 'Hot Girl Summer' track.

He said: "We got some more rules and regulations for the white boy summer. Someone put forth a proposition that we ban all backwards hats - I shut that s*** down real quick, backwards hats are and will remain good.

"What is very, very iffy and what I'm getting very close to banning is all dad hats but there are exceptions." He then went on about having the right haircut for a hat but that got a bit tedious.

Chet concluded: "Also, this is really, really important guys, as we get closer to summer and it gets hotter out and there's pool parties and barbecues. White boys - it is not white boy summer to get all drunk and sweaty and sunburned and with booze breath and going up to people you barely f***ing know getting all in their personal space.

"It doesn't matter if it's a dude that you think is not your best friend or a girl that you're trying to hit on. It's not white boy summer to go up to people... all breathing on them and s*** and treating people like they're our closest friends and family when we've only known them for five minutes.

"We've got to stop that s*** guys, we gotta do better."
