He'll shake your hand, though.

Having to pose for selfies with fans is expected of pretty much all celebrities, but it can be kind of intrusive and, I imagine, very annoying.

Of course, fans are important, they're the people who made them famous, but imagine just being out with your family or trying to have something to eat and there's a stream of people demanding a photo with you? Nah.

Chris Pratt, who loves a selfie, goes one further when explaining why he doesn't like to pose with fans and it's all about him attempting to feel 'normal'.

Speaking to Cigar Aficionado magazine, Pratt said: "I've always been a pretty deferential, go-with-the-flow guy. But now I have to be economical with my time.

"If I go out and want to do normal things, I have to be comfortable disappointing people. I just don't take pictures with people. Because that's not about enjoying the moment; it's about stealing the moment to brag about later.

"So, I say, 'would you settle for a handshake?' And then they take the picture anyway."

So, it's not a fool-proof plan then, Chris? Reckon there's a bunch of people with photos of Chris Pratt holding out his hand to them?

He continued: "What I really miss is sitting down and talking to strangers who don't know me, so we can discover each other. I'd say the majority of people I meet have an idea about me before they meet me. There's something nice to being able to surprise somebody."

Chris is certainly not alone in refusing to pose for selfies. Harry Potter star Emma Watson said she refuses to pose with fans, because she's scared once it's uploaded paparazzi might figure out where she is.

Justin Bieber has also been outspoken about how posing with fans can make him feel like he's an 'animal in zoo', which is fair enough, I suppose.
