Dillon Danis Claims Jake Paul Contract Clause Meant Tyron Woodley ‘Not Allowed To Knock Him Out’

Earlier this year Jake Paul defeated MMA fighter Tyron Woodley when they battled it out in Cleveland, Ohio.

Some people speculated on social media immediately after that the fight had been 'rigged' and now it has been claimed that Paul's opponent had agreed not to knock out the YouTuber thanks to a contract clause.

It's also been suggested that Woodley hasn't spoken about it because he signed a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).

The claims have come from actor and MMA fighter Dillon Danis, who told The MMA Hour: "Tyron Woodley, from what I heard, had it in the contract that he was not allowed to knock out Jake Paul.

"I swear on anything, when he was against the ropes, I swear, that's why when Jake Paul was against the ropes, Tyron Woodley didn't hit him.

"I'm telling you right now. It was in his contract where it said you're not allowed to knock him out."

He then went on to explain why he thinks nothing has been said when he told Plan Bri Uncut: "Tyron Woodley, that's why he hasn't said anything about it, he had to sign an NDA not to say anything about that. So it was like a double rule, you know?

"The fight was not rigged. They could box, but he's not allowed to like knock him out. So when he was against the ropes, he kind of just stood there."

LADbible has contacted Jake Paul's representatives for a comment.

He went on to give his thoughts on Jake's upcoming fight against Tommy Fury, saying: "Now he's fighting Tommy Fury, who's terrible. He's like a Jersey Shore reject. It's an easy payday for him, it's a smart move.

"If I'm going to do MMA or boxing, I don't mind either one. I'm gonna see Jake or Logan [Paul]. Logan's been talking s***, so I don't know."

Jake Paul will be fighting Tommy Fury on 18 December in Tampa, Florida, with Tyson Fury's younger brother becoming the first actual boxer that 24-year-old Paul has agreed to take on so far in his career.

However, he always likes to try to make things a little bit unusual, and - according to Fury's dad John - this fight is no different.

There are things such as additional money to be paid from Paul's purse should Fury beat him, and even a mandatory name change to 'Tommy Fumbles' if Paul ends up winning the bout.

John explained: "I've said yes to everything; yes, yes, yes, yes, do what you've got to do because I know Jake Paul can't beat Tommy no matter what he does."
