Tonight is the night that I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here kicks off and November 18 might be remembered among fans as the date the nation was properly introduced to the camp filled with famous faces and Bushtucker Trials. But for Declan Donnelly it's the date of another special event.
Today is Ant McPartlin's 43rd birthday and though he isn't hosting this year's show with his life-long best friend, Dec didn't forget to send a birthday message to his buddy.
Dec posted a picture of the pair on Twitter, Ant dress as Homer Simpson and Dec rocking Marge Simpson's tall blue bouffant, along with the comment: "Happy Birthday Homer. Love, Marge Xx."
This message seems very fitting, not only is it laced with comedy that the pair are known for, but it gives a public confirmation that Dec hasn't forgotten his buddy. I'm not crying, you are!
This tradition of birthday messages follows on from Ant's tweet to Dec on his birthday back in September, where he hilariously trolled his pint-sized bestie.
Ant tweeted a photo of Dec posing with a red and black Spanish flamenco dress along with the comment: "Happy birthday from the big one to the little one!"
Even though Ant has reappeared on social media and has been publicly interacting with his buddy, it seems it will still be a while before he returns to our screens.
This year Dec has been paired with This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby co-hosting the celebrity challenge show down in Australia.
In a statement announcing her involvement on the show earlier this year, she said: "I couldn't be more excited to have been asked to stand alongside Dec for the next jungle adventure. I love Ant and want to send him my best wishes and support for a continued recovery."
Holly added that her time with the I'm a Celeb lot is temporary and she's just keeping Ant's space warm for him.
She added: "These are big shoes, not to fill, but just to keep warm for a little bit... Honestly, I'm a huge fan of I'm a Celebrity and actually feel like I've won a competition to go and hang out on my favourite show! When is it a good time to tell Dec I'm scared of everything that moves?"
Ant announced that he would not be returning to the show until at least 2019 after he pleaded guilty to drink-driving in April, following a car accident in Richmond, London.Featured Image Credit: Twitter/ITV
