Kylie Jenner is apparently on track to become the world's youngest 'self-made billionaire', according to Forbes magazine - which has featured her on the cover of its August issue to mark the news, reporting that she's been busy raking in a staggering $900 million (£679m) from her cosmetics company.

Once she crosses the $1 billion mark, she will unseat Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg as the 'youngest-ever self-made billionaire'.

The fact that she's absolutely loaded won't come as a surprise to anyone, let's face it - but some people are calling into question another element of her pending title: yup, that's right, the 'self-made' bit.

That includes, brilliantly, Dictionary.com, which threw shade on the reality TV star and cosmetics titan in one very simple tweet:

Along with the explanation, Dictionary.com also linked to the definition on its website.

Simple, but so, so effective.

The staff at Dictionary.com weren't the only ones left a bit baffled by claims that Jenner is a self-made woman.

After the Forbes cover started doing the rounds on social media, one person tweeted: "She is the very opposite of self-made???"

Another added: "I'm not discrediting her success but hardly self made... sure she works hard and earned her success. but she was given the platform and had one hell of a capital to start up."

Someone else said: "Just take out the self made, nowhere in you're life should that word be used. 'Privileged' would be a much better word to describe you."

Twitter

But some people have defended Jenner, saying that she deserves credit for how far she's come.

One Twitter user wrote: "This is uncalled for, seriously. And I'm not a Kylie fan but look up 'salty,' where you work, and have a seat."

Another tagged Jenner, telling her: "@KylieJenner don't listen to the haters we're all extremely proud of you these people just mad because they aren't as successful as you."

Kylie's sister Kim is also taking the more positive route, having shared the cover - twice - writing: "Wait I'm posting this again just because!!!! BILLION DOLLAR BABY". She then added loads of flame emojis, some wave emojis, explosion emojis and that weird emoji with the dollar signs for eyes and a green tongue.
