Did You Know Harrison Ford Rescues Stranded Hikers In His Helicopter?

What a guy.

If you're looking for something to brighten up this boring Monday, then you're in luck, because it turns out that as well as playing the likes of Indiana Jones, Harrison Ford is also a legit hero who rescues hikers in his helicopter.

Back in 2001, 13-year-old boy scout Cody Clawson got lost in a forest close to Wyoming's Yellowstone National Park after taking the wrong path. He was missing for 19 hours before eventually being spotted and picked up by Star Wars' coolest character.

Last year, Cody, now 27, told the Daily Mail about the incident: "'The pilot turned round and said, 'Good morning'. The way he said it reminded me so much of his role of Han Solo in Star Wars. Then I was like, 'Oh my God, Han Solo has just rescued me, how cool is that?' I thought I was delirious at first but then realised I wasn't dreaming."

And he hasn't just done this once. He regularly offers his time and helicopter to help with search and rescue missions.

He has previously come to the aid of two female hikers, Sarah George and Megan Freeman, who put in a distress call after Sarah became unwell due to heat, dehydration and altitude. Once again our man, Harrison, was on hand with his trusty Bell 407 to save the day.

Speaking to ABC at the time, she said he didn't look like she'd remembered and that 'he was wearing a cowboy hat'. Of course he was, the cool bastard.
