Ed Sheeran has explained how he thought he was 'gay for a bit' when he was growing up with a 'feminine side'.
The 30-year-old musician said his interests at the time made him question his sexuality.
Isn't this refreshing? Especially considering the amount of young people in his shoes right now.
Speaking to Dutch podcast Man, Man, Man, he explained: "I have a definite feminine side, to the point that, when I was a kid, I thought I was gay for a bit.
"I definitely have a big feminine side - I love musical theatre, I love pop music, I love Britney Spears.
"My masculine side probably stops at drinking beer and watching football."
He went on to add: "I am not a car guy. I like a nice car, but I'm not a car guy."
The 'Shape of You' singer has been opening up recently and spoke about his daughter and the fears he has for her future.
Sheeran and wife, Cherry Seaborn, have a daughter called Lyra and he said he would 'hate' for his daughter to struggle with depression, and is worried because mental health issues run in his family.
Speaking on a Swedish TV show, Sheeran explained: "I don't want her to have the ability to have real lows. I would hate for her to have that. I know she will, as it runs in my family. But I would hate for her to feel sad and not know why."
The musician went on to expand on how lockdown impacted him, revealing that it affected his mental health in a bad way and even stopped working for a period of time.
He said: "I just got sad. Any major thing that happens in my life, the most positive thing I can do from that is write a song."
In 2019, Ed revealed how fame had left him anxious which, in turn, resulted in him cutting down on his friendship group and getting rid of his phone.
Going into more depth about being constantly photographed in public, he told The Sun: "It makes me feel like I'm not human.
"But what instantly cuts me off is that you're having a moment with them which is so genuine and so nice and then at the end they ask for a picture.
"Like if I am eating in a restaurant now, I would prefer to have a private room because if I eat in the public room I have people filming me while I'm eating my food.
"You feel like a zoo animal. I don't mean to complain, I have a cool job and life. But I just want to avoid that."
