Love Island star Ellie Brown captured the terrifying moment a boat she was in Dubai almost capsized due to strong waves.

The 22-year-old was on a luxury boat trip with her pals when the ship suddenly started rocking violently.

In clips shared to her Instagram Brown was sat at a table with her pals when the boat suddenly tipped to one side.

Sharing the video, she wrote: "Was trying to video the waves when..."

In the clip, her friends began to scream and grab onto the table as plates slide off and hit the deck.

One woman can be heard saying: "I'm getting off!" before she was handed a life jacket.

Ellie added: "When I say the whole boat nearly tipped over."

She then posted an update on the damage that had been caused below deck, with a smashed lamp and a table knocked over.

However, Ellie and mates seemed none-the-worse after the incident, as she later shared snaps of herself enjoying the weather.

Ellie is one of the many influencers and reality stars who have swapped lockdown and plunging temperatures for sunshine and partying in Dubai.

If you reckon you've got what it takes to be a Love Islander, and possibly a future influencer, you'll be pleased to know that applications for the upcoming series are now open.

ITV said: "ITV2 are looking for vibrant singles from across the UK who are searching for love!

"Our Islanders spend time in a luxury villa in the hope of finding love, but to remain in paradise they must win the hearts of the public and their fellow Islanders, who ultimately decide their fate on Love Island.

"If you think you've got what it takes, then we want to hear from you!"

Applications close on 30 April and to be eligible you must be at least 18 and able to make yourself free for 10 consecutive weeks.

As part of the process, you have to submit headshots and full length photos, as well as a video explaining why you'd make a great islander.

Good luck - and you'll probably need it because of last year almost 100,000 people applied and just six made it through to the TV show.

ITV chief executive Dame Carolyn McCall told Digital Spy: "On series five of Love Island to date (15 July 2019), there have been 36 contributors.

"Twenty-four were found and cast by the programme's casting team, six were put forward by professional agents and six came through the general application process."

If you still fancy your chances, you can apply here.
