Emily Atack has spoken out about how she felt the need to try and reinvent herself to show she was more than just 'a pair of boobs'.

The Inbetweeners star said she felt judged based on her looks and that her boobs and 'pout' don't define her.

Speaking to the Daily Star, 30-year-old Emily said: "People think that if you look a certain way you can't write, or you don't have an opinion.

"I thought I needed to almost reinvent myself and show that there is more to me than a pouty face and a pair of boobs.

"The irony of it was that, my whole life, I'd been striving to be sexy when in fact being what I really am - a wobbly-ar**d, freckly-faced, fun girl - is what makes me feel happiest."

The actor and comedian also revealed that she's very happily single and plans on staying that way.

She told the news outlet: "As much as I love men, they have clouded my mind and spoilt my plans my whole life.

"I'm talking about from nursery days when I was supposed to be playing with toys, I was off playing kiss-chase with the fellas.

"I'm not doing that now and I've found a lot of peace being on my own - I'm genuinely trying to focus on myself and my career.

"I'm not letting the boys distract me for once and it's a really nice feeling."

And it seems as though Emily has got zero time for anyone pulling her down - as she recently hit back at a troll who made a comment about weight gain.

After Emily posted a photo to her Instagram account showing off a delicious-looking meal she'd made, someone commented: "You will put weight on lol."

To which Emily replied: "I've lost a stone in the last three months because I'm cooking like this and eating cleaner. So, you are incorrect."

Emily found fame as Charlotte Hinchcliffe in The Inbetweeners but became a household name after a stint in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! during which she struck up an unlikely - but adorable - friendship with Harry Redknapp.
