Emily Blunt Was Not A Fan Of Husband John Krasinski's Attempt At English Accent

John Krasinski has revealed that his wife, Emily Blunt, isn't a fan of him trying to do an English accent.

American-born Krasinski has a mild Boston accent, but because he's an actor, he's meant to be well versed in learning other tongues.

However, it seems like he hasn't been able to pick up the slick English twang where Blunt is from.

While speaking to Live With Kelly and Ryan, the hosts asked the A Quiet Place actor about his life with his Golden Globe-winning wife.

When he was quizzed about the accent, Krasinski said: "I tried, and she [my wife] was very quick to tell me how bad it was.

"I was OK with her not thinking it was good, but then she told our kids it's not good, so now they laugh at me when I do it."

I mean, at least he gave it a go.

The Office US actor was also asked whether he and Emily had come up with a power couple name.

There are loads that have existed in Hollywood over the years, including Brangelina for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Kimye for Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, and Bennifer for Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez.

Krasinski said he designed 'Krunt' but added that it wasn't exactly a hit with Emily - probably just as much as his English accent.

Sadly for the famous couple, their sequel for A Quiet Place has been put on hold amid the coronavirus pandemic.

A new release date has not yet been specified.

Krasinski wrote: "To all our A Quiet Place fans. One of the things I'm most proud of is that people have said our movie is one that you have to see all together.

"Well due to the ever-changing circumstances of what's going on in the world around us, now is clearly not the time to do that. As insanely excited as we are for all of you to see the movie... I'm gonna wait to release the film til we CAN all see it together! So here's to our group movie date! See you soon!"

A Quiet Place Part II will see Emily Blunt reprise her role as Evelyn alongside Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe, who will be returning as Regan and Marcus, respectively. We'll also see more of Evelyn's new baby, who caused the family no end of trouble at the climax of the first movie.

Peaky Blinders star Cillian Murphy will also appear in the sequel sporting a scraggly beard, as well as Djimon Hounsou - who gave an Oscar-nominated performance in Blood Diamond.
