Liam Hemsworth is understandably sad at the moment after news of his marriage breakdown with Miley Cyrus was aired to the world.

The Hunger Games actor has been chilling at his brother's home in Byron Bay and surfing to heal his emotional wounds.

But as everyone comes to terms with the loss of another Hollywood couple, there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Fans of the youngest Hemsworth have been flocking to social media to call on Aussie or American TV producers to get him on the next season of The Bachelor.

If you've never seen the show, it essentially consists of one bloke being thrown in with more than a dozen women who all vie for the guy's attention and love. It almost always ends in heartbreak, tears and emotional outbursts because when you give a group of people the chance to fall for one person, it's going to get hectic.

Outspoken The Podcast shared an image of what the promotional material would look like and we're pretty sure it would result in hundreds of thousands of applications.

Their post alone has attracted more than 1,000 comments from people tagging their mates to get involved.

Hemsworth broke his silence recently with an Instagram post of a beach at sunset.

The caption said: "Hi all. Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward... Peace and Love."

That's certainly a more succinct statement compared to his now ex-wife, who left a lot of cryptic messages woven in with one of her song lyrics.

"Don't fight evolution, because you will never win. Like the mountain I am standing on top of, which was once under water, connected with Africa, change is inevitable.

"The Dolomites were not created over night, it was over millions of years that this magnificent beauty was formed. My dad always told me 'Nature never hurries but it is always on time'.... it fills my heart with peace and hope KNOWING that is true. I was taught to respect the planet and its process and I am committed to doing the same with my own."

Then in another post next to some mountains, she said: "Life's a climb."

Can you imagine if Liam was the next Bachie? People would understandably lose the plot and it would no doubt give us material for years.
