Fans Slam Jim Carrey's 'Sleazy' Response To Interviewer's Question
| Last updated
Just weeks after being criticised for an awkward joke towards Margot Robbie on the Graham Norton Show sofa, actor Jim Carrey has come under fire after making some 'sleazy' comments towards an interviewer.
Carrey, 58, was being interviewed by Heat journalist Charlotte Long while doing press for the new Sonic the Hedgehog movie, in which he plays Dr Robotnik.
Mid-way through their chat, Long asked him: "What is left on your bucket list?"
Completely straight-faced, Carrey hit back: "Just you."
Laughing off his reply, Long said: "I don't know what to say to that."
Carrey hit back, telling her to 'just own it', to which Long responded by simply moving on, saying: "OK. I'm owning it now. OK, so bucket list. What's been your best bucket list moment?"
As the interview returned to relative normality, Carrey explained there had been many bucket list memories - things you want to do before you 'kick the bucket - saying: "I wrote a $10 million dollar cheque for services that would be rendered and that happened..."
Many people who watched the interview online praised Long for remaining professional, while branding Carrey a 'sleazebag'.
One person tweeted: "Jim Carrey is getting weirder and weirder, if that's even possible, never been a fan of his work either, but a young female interviewer asked what's left on your bucket list and he replied 'just you'... unacceptable and pretty sleazy tbh."
Another wrote: "Unfortunately it turns out Jim Carrey is a massive sleazebag."
Tweeting Long, a third said: "Such a huge [fan] of @JimCarrey but lost respect for him today. This is really unacceptable, I wish and hope he apologises to you. But you handled it really well, more power to you!"
A fourth added: "You're a pro my dear. Such a CREEP!"
Jim Carrey had also caused a bit of a stir recently when a joke he made to Margot Robbie onThe Graham Norton Show didn't go down too well with viewers at home.
The 58-year-old was sat on the couch along the Aussie actress and made a quip which insinuated she was only a huge success because of her good looks.
Turning to the I, Tonya star and said: "You're really something, Margot Robbie. It's incredible you got as far as you have with your obvious physical disadvantages. That's pure talent there. That's a talent override there."
Robbie laughed at the comment, but some viewers at home were less than impressed and took to social media to slam Carrey for the remark.
