Alan Carr has married actor Paul Drayton, his partner of 10 years. His publicist confirmed that the couple died the knot last week in a 'small private ceremony' in Los Angeles.

The publicist's statement read: "The couple are currently on honeymoon in Mexico and are planning a big celebration with all their family and friends back in the UK later this summer.

"They are both extremely happy."

And it seems they've been settling into married life the right way - with loads of tacos.

The Chatty Man presenter shared a funny honeymoon snap from Los Cabos in Mexico, where he and his new husband were photographed with their heads poking out from inside a beach tent. He captioned the post: "After 10 days of tacos and tequila this sadly is the only thing that fits me. Diet starts manana!"

Too many tacos and tequila? We can relate, Alan.

The couple got engaged in 2016 when they were on holiday in Indonesia, after Drayton proposed.

Carr was over the moon, telling The Sun: "He asked me to marry him in Lombok.

"There were nine couples in this boutique hotel and a man playing the organ. I went to the toilet and came out to eat dessert, and then I was like, 'Oh my God, a filling's come out, just my luck on holiday.'

"I pull it out and it's this ring and then the man on the organ starts singing 'Can You Feel The Love Tonight?'

"Then the chef and all the staff came out - and the manager - and sang 'Can You Feel The Love Tonight?', but they didn't know the next lyric, so they just sang, 'Can You Feel The Love Tonight? Can you feel the love tonight?'

"So it was my idea of hell, but of course I said yes.

"My life is a roller coaster - like Ronan Keating says."

He added, simply: "It's really nice."

At the time he also said that he wanted to rope in good pal Adele to sing 'Someone Like You', though it's not known whether she showed up or not.

So what's next for the lovebirds? Kids?

Nope, apparently not - in the same interview Alan said they're not planning to become dads following the wedding, saying that he struggles enough with two dogs.

Seems he's happy enough with Paul, adding: "It feels right and it feels like a fresh start. It's a happy ending."
