Trailer For Michael Fassbender's New Thriller 'The Snowman' Released

The trailer for Michael Fassbender's new thriller is out and it looks chilling for more reasons than one.

The movie is adapted from Jo Nesbo-penned Norwegian crime story The Snowman, which sees several women disappear following the first snowfall of winter, with a snowman left at the scene of each crime.

The trailer looks awesome:

Rebecca Ferguson (Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation and The White Queen), Charlotte Gainsbourg and J.K. Simmons are also set to star in the film which should be released on October 13.

Directed by Tomas Alfredson (Let The Right One In and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy), it follows detective Harry Hole (Fassbender), as he investigates a serial killer who leaves his victims without their heads.

Of course, nothing is quite as it seems with the investigation, and even after banging up one suspect, the killer is still at large.

It's been a busy couple of years for Fassbender who has starred in a couple of X-Men films (Days of Future Past and Apocalypse) since 2015, Alien: Covenant, as well as playing the title character of the Steve Jobs biopic.

He's even been cast again as Erik Lehnsherr in the 2018 film X-Men: Dark Phoenix.

Of his busy schedule, he said: "It's been pretty full on. I had a ferocious appetite and energy for it, and I went at it like a maniac.

"But I'm going to take some downtime now. The last five years, I was verging on being a workaholic. I've just been going from film to film."

That downtime saw his work load free up a little bit, but he hasn't ruled out quitting acting altogether.

He told Time Out: "I'm not ruling it out. I'm not saying it's going to happen, but a part of me thinks you have a time as an actor when you're at your best.

"There's a journey to it, and then it's downhill."

The 40-year-old actor looks to have missed out on playing James Bond, despite being on the initial shortlist, and told GQ: "As an acting role, I think Daniel has done such a cracking job in this age group... I think the franchise needs something new."
