We haven't seen the dynamic duo of Will Smith and Martin Lawrence as a pair of Miami detectives since 2003. There has been a lot of talk about a third Bad Boys movie since director Michael Bay said he wanted to continue the franchise in 2008, but nothing has eventuated.

Fingers crossed this latest development is more concrete than the other suggestions the stars have made in recent years. But if it never gets made, then fear not - there will still be new material from the Bad Boys universe awaiting released.
A spin-off series has been organised for Gabrielle Unions character, Special Agent Sydney 'Syd' Burnett, who appeared in Bad Boys II. In the sequel, Syd is dating Will Smith's character, who is also Martin Lawrence's character's sister.
Variety reports NBC has ordered a pilot episode to be made, where Syd has left the DEA and joined the Los Angeles Police Department.
Unfortunately, there's no word on where Smith or Lawrence will make an appearance in the show. But we can dream, right?
