Movie director Danny Boyle is set to transport his filmmaking wares from the streets of Edinburgh (Trainspotting, yeah?) to several far flung, sexy locations around the globe.

The Trainspotting, Slumdog Millionaire and Shallow Grave director says he is currently working on a script (with longtime collaborator John Hodge) for the next instalment of the James Bond series.

Currently called Bond 25, the film will feature Daniel Craig in his fifth outing as the super spy, and it may well be his last appearance in the famed tuxedo.

Speaking to Metro US, Boyle said: "I am working on a Richard Curtis script at the moment. We hope to start shooting that in six or seven weeks. Then Bond would be right at the end of the year. But we are working on them both right now.

"We've got an idea, John Hodge, the screenwriter, and I have got this idea, and John is writing it at the moment. And it all depends on how it turns out. It would be foolish of me to give any of it away".

Details about the new Bond film are few and far between, but rumour has it this is what the plot will entail:

007, fresh from his last mission to save the world, is sitting on a beach in Bali. He may or may not have sex with a lady.

Reeling from the death of Dame Judy Dench, he nurses a beer, pondering his next move, which may or may not involve having sex with a lady, and questionable amounts of gin and or vodka.

While watching the tellybox, he sees that a diplomatic incident has occurred in none other than the United Kingdom, where he is from.

Returning post-haste (possibly after having sex with a lady), he heads to the small medieval city of Salisbury, where its believed a Russian citizen has been poisoned by the Russian state.

Trying to fend off yet another world war, he digs deeper, discovering that the poisoning was in fact carried out by the illuminati/the elite media/train drivers/Deli Alli, or a combination of all four. After this, he may or may not have sex with a lady.

The film ends with a shootout between Bond and baddie, but instead of agreeing to the rules laid out in the beginning, pistols at dawn style, Bond shoots his adversary in the back, because that's what you need to do when the fate of the free world is in peril. Also, he is in a hurry, because he may or may not have plans to have sex with a lady and/or want a martini.

Shake my drink.
