Gwyneth Paltrow Recreated The Best Scene From ‘Seven’ For Halloween

Gwyneth Paltrow Recreated The Best Scene From ‘Seven’ For Halloween

It wasn't the most creative costume but it was a very good throwback....

Maybe actors have the best chance at 'winning' Halloween, particularly if they're lucky enough to have played an iconic role or two across their career. After all, who has better access to decent make-up artists and equipment? You're certainly less likely to see 'em nipping to their local charity shop for ideas, or gluing stuff together at the last minute.

And when it comes to costumes, sometimes the simple ones get the best reaction, while the bloke who spent hours getting everything ready gets a mild cheer. That's why actor Gwyneth Paltrow is getting a big round of applause for her Halloween outfit, which is a throwback to a pretty epic movie.

While Ms Paltrow wasn't a star in David Fincher's movie Seven, she played a very pivotal part in the ending. Kevin Spacey plays the serial killer John Doe, whose murders are each inspired by one of the seven deadly sins.

Gwyneth is Brad Pitt's wife in the film and, you guessed it, has her head cut off and placed in a box. Maybe she could have added a bit more blood to her outfit, but it's still a brilliantly cheeky nod to an intense cinematic moment.

Her photo on Instagram has been like by nearly 60,000 people with one person writing: "This is why I adore you GP. You know how to make fun of yourself."

Another said: "Best costume for Halloween hands down."

Still, compare it to what Will Poulter did, then Gwyneth may have been massively overshadowed. While the actor has appeared in movies like The Revenant and The Maze Runner, people also know him for being the spitting image of Sid from Toy Story.

The 24-year-old decided to combine banter with awareness raising by dressing up as his animated doppelganger

He wrote: "This Halloween I thought I should respond to the comparisons with Disney Pixar's biggest bully next door and go as Sid from Toy Story! In addition to having a laugh at my expense I wanted to try and raise some attention for a cause I am an ambassador for! @antibullyingpro

"As this month is Bullying Prevention Month in the USA and Antibullying Week in the UK is just around the corner, I would really appreciate it if you could give them a follow before you like or share and help support the cause to make school a safer and happier place for young people.

"Thank you @antbullyingpro #HappyHalloween #AntiBullying"

Not bad, Will, not bad at all.
