When Ant and Dec announced their Saturday Night Takeaway finale would be in Florida, with a chance for viewers to join them, people went wild. They tweeted until their fingers bled, asking if they could be among the lucky few to come along for the ride.
But spare a thought for this unlucky geezer who wanted to go above and beyond to get Ant and Dec's attention.
Kelvin Jackson-Bowers got the dynamic duo tattooed on his leg in a bid to score tickets to America's Sunshine State for his six-year-old son. Unfortunately for him, the ink was finished just hours before Ant McPartlin's alleged drink driving incident.
As a result of that ongoing situation, Saturday Night Takeaway has been cancelled for this weekend and there's no word on whether the finale will go ahead, with ITV bosses yet to decide whether to crack on with the show with a different presenter or can it altogether.
But that's just background noise for Kelvin, who now has to deal with a bit of an awkward tattoo.
He thought it would have been a shoo in considering the competition simply asked for people to recreate their hashtag. Most have opted for easy things like baking a cake or sewing the design, which at least are all perishable or temporary.
Kelvin says: "It took a week of convincing but my family were able to talk me into it.
"I said no at first when she asked on the Monday but I gave in the following Sunday and my father-in-law, who is a tattoo artist, did it.
"I mainly did it for [my son] Harry. I already have tattoos including a full sleeve but this one was to try and win tickets on the plane.
"I have taken it well, to be honest. As far as I am concerned having the tattoo is a bit of a laugh. If I had won I would have had it framed but Harry has been gutted."
His wife Emma Jackson-Bowers admits she feels a wee bit bad for convincing her hubby to get the ink.
"When I saw what had happened on the Monday my first thought was for how sad it was for Ant and then my second thought was thinking about my poor husband having the tattoo and my stomach dropped," she said.
Ant was officially removed from the Saturday Night Takeaway line-up two days ago, with ITV announcing he was seeking treatment for his issues.
