Jennifer Lawrence has never been one to shy away from telling it like it is - and that includes, it seems, telling us all that she's not had sex in a 'very long time'. The poor lass.

In a frank interview with the Sun, J-Law confessed that while she may talk a good talk, action been a bit thin on the ground lately.

"I always talk like I want dick, but the truth is when I look back at my sexual past it was always with boyfriends," the actress said.

"I talk like I like it, but I don't really do it.

"I am mostly also a germophobe. I have made it this far without an STI. Dick is dangerous."

She added: "If I was at the point where I could get an STI, doctors have already been involved. That is how much of a germaphobe I am."

And just in case there was any danger of anyone understanding the gravity of the situation, she added: "I am making it clear that I have not had sex in a very long time.

"I would like to have a relationship, you know - it's hard out there!"

Yeesh.

Jen's last relationship was with director Darren Aronofsky, 47, who she met when they worked on the movie Mother! together. The two went their separate ways in November last year, revealing in a WTF with Marc Maron Podcast episode that they had been together for around two years - not just the 12 months that we'd all initially assumed.

She said: "I mean, if we count everything, like two years. I had been saying two years for so long and he was like, 'It's been like, six months!' I think two years. I mean, I was in love with him for like, two years."

Jen's new spy film, Red Sparrow, sees her play Dominika, a ballerina dancing at Russia's famous Bolshoi while caring for her sick mother.

Unable to dance after a serious injury, her Uncle Vanya offers to help her financially if she works for him, but after witnessing a brutal murder, Dominika is sent to a school for 'sparrows' - young, mostly ex-military women trained to use seduction in order to defeat enemies.

The film has been controversial due to its scenes of rape and torture, as well as Lawrence's on-screen nudity, and has divided critics.

But Lawrence has said that the scenes did not bother her, telling Entertainment Tonight: "Everybody made me feel so comfortable that I probably at a certain point started making everybody else uncomfortable.

"Because I'd be like, 'I don't want the robe. I'm hot. I'm eating.' Everybody's like, 'She needs to cover up.'"
