John Cena Feels 'Shame' As Nikki Bella Is Left 'Heartbroken' Following Split
| Last updated
It's been a tricky few days for this pair and it doesn't seem to be getting any easier.
It's emerged that Nikki Bella is 'heartbroken' following her split from popular wrestler, John Cena, just weeks before they were set to tie the knot.
Now, the WWE legend has taken to social media in his second tweet since their break-up became public on Sunday.
It seems, the 16-time world champion has responded to Twitter posting that 'sometimes we must bare the burden of shame and judgement'.

He included a hashtag with his catchphrase #RiseAboveHate and fans remain shocked by the separation, reports the Daily Star.
Nikki and Cena got publicly engaged last year after being together since 2012 when the champ got down on one knee at WrestleMania 33.
The couple have become a major part of the WWE brand - starring in reality shows Total Divas and Total Ballas.
The couple decided to call it quits after being spotted together at WrestleMania on 8 April.
Cena, 40, has admitted in the past that he didn't want to get married again, following his split from Elizabeth Huberdeau in 2012.
But he got down on one knee and proposed to Nikki in April 2017.
As the separation emerged, a source told PEOPLE that he started getting cold feet as the wedding date drew near.
"She never gave him an ultimatum," the insider said. "He talked a really good game about having changed, about having his priorities straight, about knowing what's important, and that it was her.
"But as the day got closer, it was like he just went back to who he's always been - which is someone who puts himself first, always.
"He's an incredibly dedicated, driven, ambitious guy. And for the longest time he said he didn't think he had room in his life for a spouse or kids. It seems like in the end that was still the truth."
The source continued: "But in that case, he never should've proposed, let alone in front of millions of people. Now she's heartbroken."
"This was supposed to be the happiest time of her life. He ruined it and blew everything up."
The professional wrestlers' wedding was set for May 5 in Mexico, where Bella was excited to celebrate her heritage with family and friends.
The couple of six years confirmed their split with a statement shared to social media on Sunday which read: "While this decision was a difficult one, we continue to have a great deal of love and respect for one another. We ask that you respect our privacy during this time in our lives."
Cena seemed to open up about the end of the relationship on Monday, tweeting: "Hardship, loss, and humility are extremely difficult waters to navigate, but perseverance thru them builds a strength to withstand anything life throws your way."

While recently promoting his new movie Blockers, Cena told PEOPLE about how he already felt married to the reality star.
He said: "People come up to me and say, 'I love watching your wife on television'. And I love that, so that happens to me 10 times before it would be a, 'Yo man I love your work'. It's always, 'I love watching your wife on television'.
"I'm already ready to go there and it sounds nice hearing it. I know that we will have a wonderful future together because I love the way that sounds."
Nikki had already picked out her dream wedding gown and decided on a black tie dress code for the big day.
Some are suggesting this may be 'good timing'. According to Uproxx, the news has broke about a month before the Total Bellas Season 3 premiere on May 20.
And a massive part of the third season of the reality show has been hyped as Cena and Bella having some intense relationship issues.
We're sure it will all become clear soon.
