Matt Damon, the iconic Hollywood action hero, once said in an interview with The Telegraph that the Bourne films saved his life. Well it certainly changed his life, as well as audiences' worldwide.
14 years on from when The Bourne Identity first premiered, and with the fifth film about to hit screens, (if you include The Bourne Legacy), Damon has provided viewers with the ultimate catch-up experience of the series so far (excluding anything that ever had anything to do with The Bourne Legacy... ever), and it will only take up 90 seconds of your life.

Ahead of Jason Bourne to premiere in the States on July 29, Damon took part in the featurette with Universal Pictures to list the key events that happened to his character: from the moment Bourne is first introduced to audience floating almost dead in the Med, right up to the point where he leaps into the river in New York City (and a shit load of action in between).

And... breathe. Four years on from when The Bourne Legacy kept the franchise ticking over, Paul Greengrass returns as director and the story of Jason Bourne continues to evolve. For the film, Damon is joined by Alicia Vikander, Vincent Cassel and Tommy Lee Jones, while Julia Stiles reprises her role as Nicky Parsons in the film. Frank Marshall again produces alongside Jeffrey Weiner for Captivate Entertainment, and Greengrass, Damon, Gregory Goodman and Ben Smith also produce. Based on characters created by Robert Ludlum, the film is written by Greengrass and Christopher Rouse.
There you have it, Matt Damon is back as Bourne.
