Will Smith, guns, supernatural beings - what's not to like out of that combination?
Well, according to more or less every critic that watched Netflix's latest original film, Bright, everything. Absolutely everything.
The Fantasy/Crime/Adventure/Thriller, which Geoffrey McNab at the Independent described as a 'laughably dim-witted action movie', was almost universally panned, but apparently that hasn't stopped the ever-snowballing streaming service from commissioning a sequel.

You see, despite its widespread negative reviews, Bright actually smashed numerous Netflix records, becoming the highest viewed original film ever to be shown on the streaming service in its first week of release.
There was talk before the film was even released that a sequel was on the cards, but now that news has been officially confirmed by Netflix.
To accompany the announcement, the streaming giant released a video showing two orcs auditioning for the upcoming sequel. Joel Edgerton plays the leading orc in the original.
The film is set in an alternative version of present-day Los Angeles, where fantasy creatures and humans co-exist.
Elves are the highest-ranking race in society and orcs are suppressed - Edgerton plays LAPD's first orc officer, who works alongside Will Smith.

Having previously worked with Smith on Suicide Squad, director David Ayer spoke about the differences in working with him on the first Netflix original big-budget movie.
"One was just a big, fun comic book movie," he told Fuse. "And this is a little bit different. It's a fun movie but it also has a message to it.
"I think that's something Will connected with. To be able to say something that some people may not want to hear in a way that you're not preaching. You're just using allegory to talk about the world today a little bit. And it's organic and part of the movie.
"But I love Will to death, and we have a short hand now and a trust. He's a legit good dude.
"Joel [Edgerton] and Will have this amazing buddy relationship, which is just a pleasure to watch."
There's no word on when we can expect the Bright sequel just yet, but if you really can't wait, you can recreate a similar experience by putting LOTR on the telly, Bad Boys on your laptop and glancing between the two over and over again really fast for 90 minutes.
