What a tash.

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson is 45 years of age. But, you wouldn't know it. He's built like a brick shithouse, has the smile of a teenager and the friendliness of a child who hasn't learned what hate is yet.

With recent rumours of him going for the 2020 Presidency of the United States, we hope that he's around for many more years to come.

And, the younger he looks, the greater the appeal, right?

Well, a black and white photo has emerged on Twitter of The Rock when he was 16, and let's just say that he looks more worn then than he does now.

The wrestling and movie star, models a flat-top haircut, and is wearing a full suit and tie - suave. It's big contrast to his latest look for his new film, Baywatch.

The more you look at the picture the harder it is to comprehend that he's actually 16 in the photo - maybe it's the pencil-thin moustache that's doing him no favours.

One Twitter user said: "16 year old Dwayne Johnson looks even older than current Dwayne Johnson."

Another replied: "He looks like an inner city high school teacher who's ready to snap," while another added: "16? Looks like he has a bad back and a 401k."

Even The Rock managed to laugh at himself in the picture. He replied: "Haha it's that damn 16yr old slightly creepy, but well manicured porn stache I was rocking back in high school. Good Lord."

It comes just days after he posed for a throwback to an old '90s picture for Saturday Night Live. He took to Instagram and said: When I took this iconic absurdity of a picture in 1996 I was one year removed from sleeping on a used mattress I took from a garbage dumpster in the back of an hourly sex motel.

He continued: "Couldn't afford to buy a bed so we do what we gotta do to get by. You can imagine all the fun colorful bodily fluids I tried my best to clean off.

"21 years later I'm taking the same photo backstage hosting #SaturdayNightLive for the fifth time. If you're going thru your own tough times 'used mattress' stage, do your best to have faith things'll get better and always be willing to outwork your competition because you never know where life is gonna take you.

"And ALWAYS remember to place a soft tissue under your left elbow as to protect the fabric of the cheap ass swag turtleneck that had you out here looking like a bad ass buff lesbian.

"Oh and tuck the thumb in the fanny pack. Always tuck the thumb."

The Rock has recently been subject to people questioning whether he could run for President in 2020, in a challenge to Donald Trump.

He told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show: "Of course I would consider."

On the same Saturday Night Live as his fanny-pack photo, he launched his 2020 campaign alongside running mate, Tom Hanks. If only, eh? If only.
