A theory about Andy's mum in Toy Story has gathered some pace over recent years.
It all came from a man called Jon Negroni, a film reviewer, who spotted something odd about Andy's hat in the film. Ever noticed that it's nothing like Woody's?
In fact, it has a much greater likeness to Jessie's.

Negroni also noticed that in the Toy Story 2 flashback, the owner of Jessie has a hat with a band of white lace around it. Andy's just has a faded white line... as would be standard with ageing.
Linking it all together it would imply that Jessie's owner was Andy's mum.
Well, this theory has reached the man who voiced Woody, Tom Hanks, and he believes that this geeky piece of fan knowledge is brilliant.
Hanks said, in an interview at an event in March: "Sounds like a fantastic off-story, a little bit of fan knowledge to me.

"And I'm sure the folks at Pixar have paid attention to it. I'm not saying such a flashback might happen in the fourth movie, but check it out."
Hanks, clearly didn't want to give too much away about Toy Story 4, which is due for release in 2019.

Writer Pete Docter doesn't like the idea at all that Jessie's first owner was Andy's mum. Mind you, maybe he just wants the Toy Story secrets to stay that way.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, he said: "The interesting thing is that we're now on Toy Story 4 and still stuff that we discussed in the original, 20-something years ago, those ideas are still being used.
"So it just seems to be a very evergreen kind of story and a lot of stuff just keeps bubbling up, so it's very interesting."
Entertainment Tonight responded by saying: "Translation: We might get the answer in a later Toy Story move."

Hanks, already a legend in our eyes, will be once again heading up the cast for Toy Story 4. He's already had to deal with the arrival of Buzz Lightyear, battle the evil Sid, be rescued from Big Al, and put up with Lots-O-Huggin' Bear.
Surely any theory is a good one when Hanks approves it?
