Tyrese Gibson Threatens To Leave 'Fast And Furious’ Franchise If The Rock Returns

It's part of a long running feud between the two actors.

Tyrese Gibson has been in the Fast and Furious universe for a lot longer than Dwayne Johnson after co-starring alongside the late Paul Walker in 2 Fast 2 Furious.

Maybe that's why he feels he has more of a reason to be there than the Rock and he hasn't shied away from his feelings on social media about the former wrestling star.

Gibson has gone on a rant, calling Johnson a 'clown', a 'candy-ass bitch' and alluded to him taking steroids.

The actor says: "Hello world.......... hello loyal fans and loved ones from OUR fast universe........ I'm sorry to announce that if Dewayne is in Fast9 there will no more Roman Peirce - You mess with family and my daughters survival I mess with yours......... close your eyes dude you're a "Clown"...... #CandyAssBitchMade.

"All my real one.... Men on integrity... my real ones out here stand UP...... folks that GP to the gym and get big naturally #NoJuice #NoOJ spin off huh? Spin off these nuts selfish champ...... pause notice who's got his arms around my shoulder and who's standing alone - #OurChildrenMatter."

This is just one piece of a long-running feud between to the two actors, ever since plans were announced for a Fast and Furious spin-off with the Rock and Jason Statham, titled Hobbs and Shaw. Gibson was angry at the plans, because it meant the ninth instalment to the Fast and Furious franchise would be delayed by another year.

Tyrese again wrote on Instagram: "Congratulations to @TheRock and your brother in law aka 7 bucks producing partner @hhgarcia41 for making the fast and the furious franchise about YOU - And like you, DJ even if they call I will not be deleting this post.

"#FastFamily right? Nah..... it's about #TeamDewayne #3yrs will it be worth the wait? #NoShaw just Hobbs will this be another #BayWatch?"

While the Rock hasn't addressed the majority of Gibson's swipes, he was filmed going in on Tyrese's 2015 album Black Rose and tearing it to pieces. Dwayne said it should have been called 'Big Piece of Black Dog Shit' in the video, which Gibson uploaded on his Instagram account.

Maybe the Fast and Furious franchise has a curse on it, considering that the Rock also got into a feud with star Vin Diesel during The Fate of the Furious.

The Hollywood Reporter claimed the two actors were kept apart during the film's promotional tour because of the ongoing anger.

It will be interesting to see whether Tyrese actually pulls out of the film franchise, with the last movie, The Fate of the Furious, pulling in more than $1.23 billion (£925 million) at the box office.

It would hard to turn down a pay cheque that big.
